How Much Does a Logo Design Cost?
Logo prices run from $5 to five figures. Here's what actually drives the number, and what you're really paying for at each tier.

Search "logo design" and you'll find one person charging $5 and another charging $50,000 for what looks, on the surface, like the same deliverable. Both are telling the truth about their own offer. The gap is what sits behind the mark.
The rough tiers
- $5–$100, marketplace and AI. A template or a generator. You get a file, fast. You don't get thinking, and neither does anyone else who bought the same template.
- $300–$2,000, freelance designer. A real person drawing something for you. Quality varies wildly with the individual. Usually the logo and little else.
- $5,000–$25,000+, studio identity. Not a logo, an identity system: strategy, the mark, type, color, usage rules, and the files to run it everywhere.
What you're actually paying for
A logo is cheap. A logo that's *right* is not, because the cost is in the deciding, not the drawing. Good identity work starts with questions: who is this for, what should it say before anyone reads a word, where will it live. The drawing is the last 20%.
You're also paying for range. A $50 logo looks fine as a 400px preview and falls apart on a sign, a stitched shirt, or a favicon. Studio work is tested at every size and in one color before it's signed off.
How to pick a tier honestly
Match the spend to the stakes. Pre-revenue side project testing an idea? A cheap mark is fine, you'll redo it anyway. Raising money, hiring, or asking customers to trust you with real money? The logo is the cheapest part of looking credible, and the wrong one quietly costs you more than the right one saved.
Where the logo fits
A logo on its own does very little. It earns its keep as part of a system, the colors, type, and rules that make everything you publish look like it came from the same company. That's the work we do at Pinn.Media: not a mark in isolation, but the whole kit that keeps your brand consistent when you're not in the room.
