"How long will it take?" is the first question on every website project and the hardest to answer honestly, because the same words cover a five-page brochure site and a booking platform with logins. Here's a realistic breakdown.

Rough timelines by type

• Landing page: a few days to two weeks.
• Small marketing site (5–10 pages): three to six weeks.
• Larger site with a CMS your team edits: six to ten weeks.
• Web app, accounts, dashboards, payments: three months and up.

These assume the people involved are responsive and the scope holds. Both are big ifs.

What actually slows it down

The build is rarely the bottleneck. These are:

• Content. Copy, photos, and product info almost always arrive late. A site can't be finished around empty boxes.
• Decisions. Every unanswered question is a paused task. Slow approvals stretch a six-week project to twelve.
